Throughout the magical winter months of June, July and August, many of the region's finest hotels, restaurants, motor inns and guest houses celebrate Yulefest. Menus feature everything from traditional dinners of turkey and plum puddings to modern offerings, with crackling fires and elaborate Christmas decorations providing the finishing touches.
Numerous gardens are opened up to the public during this fabulous spring festival, including the spectacular National Trust property – Everglades. Other gardens featured are all privately owned, giving visitors a great opportunity to see a wide cross-section of the very best gardens the region has to offer and interact with some of the passionate garden owners.
Multiple-entry tickets may be used on any day or combination of days during the festival, and can be purchased at the top of Leura Mall (on Railway Parade) or at the entry to any garden ($25 per person for an all-garden ticket or $5 per individual garden).
Groups of 10+ people are invited to take advantage of special pre-festival tours during the five days leading up to the main festival and enjoy a private, escorted tour of four very special gardens, some of which will not be open during the main festival. Other Festival attractions include the popular plant sales centre and daily 'Music in the Gardens' performances.
